Questions we actually get
The fine print, in plain type.
What does the setup fee cover?
The bake. We build your resort's terrain bundle from elevation data (1 m USGS lidar in the US, Copernicus DEM elsewhere) and OpenStreetMap, QA every run and lift against your trail map, tune the camera and theme, and send you a private preview link. You approve it before it ships. Install support for your web team is included.
Which CMSes does it work on?
WordPress, Squarespace, Drupal, Wix, and anything that renders HTML — the embed is a standard web component loaded by one script tag. For CMSes that strip scripts, we ship an iframe fallback that renders the identical viewer.
Whose data is the map built from, and who handles licensing?
Trails and lifts come from OpenStreetMap (ODbL), terrain from USGS 3DEP (public domain) or Copernicus DEM, forest cover from ESA WorldCover (CC BY 4.0). The embed renders the required attribution automatically — there is nothing for you to license or clear separately.
Our mountain is mapped poorly in OpenStreetMap. Can you still build it?
Usually, yes. During setup we audit your OSM coverage and send you an exact gap list — missing runs, unnamed lifts, wrong difficulties. Your team (or ours, on a services basis) can fix the source data; the whole mapping community benefits, and your next refresh picks it up.
How does cancellation work?
Cancel anytime; the embed keeps working through the end of the paid period, then the token deactivates. Setup fees are one-time and non-refundable once you've approved the preview. Annual prepays are refunded pro-rata by unused full months.
Can we remove the attribution line?
The “powered by xyzski” microlink is removable at Ridgeline and above. The map-data attribution (“Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors”) is a license obligation under ODbL and always renders — on every tier, for everyone, including us.
